Short Story Character Design

Here is the head of the main character for a short story project that I'm working on at the moment. It's a little different than my normal vector work so stay tuned for more!

Suddenly Trees

Yes suddenly trees, Just practising my tree drawing skills for an up coming illustrated story book that I will be working on. Kind of nice to do more traditional type of illustration again, hopefully I will get some more projects for this type of work.

Judging from my online portfolio you would think I only do vector illustration but it's just that my vector work is popular with my clients. I think I will start working on some more traditional illustration after all it is what I studied at art school all those years ago.

Robot Versus Rabbit

Just working on an animation project which has the more traditional painted background and characters. Which is a nice break from all the normal vector work I seem do. In fact I have an idea for a short film I may do in this style. For the process of this particular animation just I scanned the cleaned up linework and painted them in Photoshop before importing them into Flash. The animation for this project it quite limited but it seems to work nicely.
